How to download IPTV m3u8 file?

Download m3u8 file

In this guide, I will show you how to download IPTV m3u8 file for free on your PC. This is an easy process that only takes a couple of minutes. We are going to use the VLC media player as our video player and VideoLan IPTV playlist generator (VL IPTV) as an application that will allow us to generate m3u8 playlist files that contain links to all of your favorite content providers such as Netflix, HBO GO, Hulu Plus, YouTube TV, SHOWTIME NOW and more!

1. First you need to have access to the m3u8 file you want to download.

  • First, you need to have access to the m3u8 file you want to download. This may be an IPTV file hosted on a website or an M3U8 file shared by a friend.
  • The second step is to create an account on one of the many websites that offer IPTV links for free and without sign-ups, such as FindIPTV, LiveIPTV, MyIPTVNow, or others like them. Once logged in, usually, after signing up with your email address and password (you can use fake information if you want), all that's left is clicking on the link at the top of your screen which will take you directly into Live Streaming Player software where all sorts of channels are available along with their respective logos and descriptions as well as what kind of quality they offer (HD vs SD).

2. You are going to need a URL Sniffer tool. I recommend you use Software Informer’s free utility, URL Snooper. You can find it here http://download.cnet.com/URL-Snooper/3000-2381_4-10066812.html

The first thing you'll need to do is download a URL Sniffer tool. I recommend you use Software Informer's free utility, URL Snooper. You can find it here http://download.cnet.com/URL-Snooper/3000-2381_4-10066812.html

3. Once you have that installed, open it and in the upper left corner click “Options”, then “Protocols”, then “HTTP” and then either add or select http://*.m3u8, also add or select http://*.ts to sniff for those files as well.

  • Once you have that installed, open it, and in the upper left corner click “Options”, then “Protocols”, then “HTTP” and then either add or select http://*.m3u8, also add or select http://*.ts to sniff for those files as well.
  • You can now go to your favorite IPTV server website by clicking on the button that says "Get lists" in the top right-hand corner of the window. Most lists are located on this page but if not just search for M3U8 Files in Google or Bing and you will find one easily enough!
  • Once you get a list of links download them all with a program like JustGetit (http://justgetitdl.com/) or any other downloading program of your choice (that downloads from web servers).
  • Now open up VLC Media Player and listen to music/video from your favorite channels!!!

4. Back on the main screen hit “Start Capture” at the top, then play your stream in the VLC media player, once the stream starts playing exit out of the VLC media player and go back to the main screen of URL Sniffer and stop capturing packets by clicking “Stop Capture” at the top of the screen

  • Go to URL Sniffer’s main screen by clicking on the “Open URL Sniffer” button at the top of your browser window or going to: https://www.urlsnooper.com/.
  • Click “Start Capture” at the top, then play your stream in the VLC media player, once the stream starts playing exit out of the VLC media player and go back to the main screen of URL Sniffer and stop capturing packets by clicking “Stop Capture” at the top of the screen.
  • Back on the main screen hit “Start Capture” again so that you are capturing packets while your IPTV m3u8 file is playing in the VLC media player.

Conclusion

Now you should have all of the packets stored in your clipboard. You can paste them into another program for viewing or editing if you want to do that before saving them as an m3u8 file, I personally don’t but some people might prefer it this way.
